The New Serola Sacroiliac Belt may be used for lower back pain, piriformis syndrome, hip, upper leg, and pelvic pain as well as during or after pregnancy to stabilize lax ligaments and the related pain in the SI joint. Research has shown that the sacroiliac joint is a major biomechanical cause of low back pain. Sprained ligaments in the sacroiliac region cause imbalanced muscular responses which lead to structural compensation patterns, muscle spasm, weakness, and back, hip, and leg pain.
The Serola Sacroiliac Belt re-establishes the joint's normal motion by providing the correct balance of resistance and resilience. It is the only belt designed to normalize the function of the sacroiliac joint. The Serola SI Belt is designed to compress and support the sacroiliac joints, thereby relieving stress and instability at these weight-bearing structures. Excess or insufficient motion can adversely affect the entire musculoskeletal system. The Serola Sacroiliac Belt, by providing the correct balance of resistance and resilience, re-establishes the joint's normal motion. The Serola Sacroiliac Belt provides stability to the base of your spine and increases the strength throughout your back, hips, and legs while considerably decreasing your chances of injury during work or play.
During pregnancy, the ligaments, under hormonal influences, become lax and stretch to allow the pelvis to spread for delivery. It is important to hold the sacroiliac and pubic joints firmly together after delivery to assist the ligaments in shortening and realigning the pelvis properly. Research has shown that after childbirth most women noted a positive effect using a sacroiliac belt. Because all pelvic joints loosen during pregnancy, use of a sacroiliac belt most likely will prevent associated pain during and after pregnancy.
Hand wash only in hot or cold water. Rinse well in cold water to remove soap residue from the small open cells in the foam. Hang to dry.
To measure for the correct size:
|Small||up to 34" inches||up to 86 cm|
|Medium||34" to 40" inches||86 cm to 102 cm|
|Large||40" to 46" inches||102 cm to 117 cm|
|X-Large||46" to 52" inches||117 cm to 132 cm|
Q. I am measuring between two sizes which size should I choose?
A. If you measure between two sizes, we usually recommend selecting the larger size to avoid the belt being too tight or the Velcro not holding properly during movement.
Q. I have an old Serola Belt with a number on the front tag, what size do I have?
A. Older style Serola Belts used a number to identify the size. These correspond to 1-Small, 2-Medium, 3-Large, and 4-X-Large.
Q. What is the difference between the New Serola Belt and The Original Serola Belt?
A. The main difference between the original belt and the new belt is the material. The original belt used a cotton webbing as an interior, and the new Serola Belt uses a lighter weight hypoallergenic breathable open-cell urethane as an interior. The original Serola Sacroiliac Belt is no longer manufactured and all Serola Belts we sell are now the "New" version.
I have used this belt off and on for over 10 years. My Chiropractor recommended it and I have been grateful all these years. I misplaced it for a time and tried to find it online and ordered another brand. No comparison! Do not hesitate to buy this belt! You will find yourself going, "ahhhh" when you put it on.

Unbelievable is what I call this belt! I have scoliosis with L4/L5 deformed. Chronic back, hips, leg pain my whole adult life. I am 61 years. Sharp knife pains, tight muscle cords across my hips and down my legs. I live at chiropractic office and weekly massages. No relief. Tried serola belt 4 days ago and I am 100% painfree!! I was painfree immediately upon putting it on. I have tried other pelvic stabilizers and they were bulky, would not stay in place. The serola belt is thin and doesnt move. No one will know you are wearing it. Telling all my friends and family! Kudos to the chiro who invented this!! Job well done! Thank you so much!

My daughter has a slipped disk and was provided this belt to relieve pain. It has given her life back. I purchased the belt for a pinched nerve and I can say that within a short period of time the belt has eased the pressure and pain. I would recommend this belt.

Keeps the sacroiliac joint more in line
The belt is doing what it is supposed to - keep the sacroiliac joint more in line. Because of the additional "wings" used to stretch across the hips from the back, having another person to assist in getting the right tension is helpful.

This is a great belt.
Pros: Helps my SI pain.
Cons: Digs into my belly a bit.
I purchased it because I was having pretty bad SI pain during my pregnancy. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a bit uncomfortable to wear when sitting, it sort of digs into my big ol' belly.
