Active Ankle had its original start in an athletic training room of a Southern Indiana high school as part of a class project. A local businessman recognized the idea as a unique product idea and helped launch what is known today as Active Ankle Systems, Inc. in 1989. In the last 20+ years the company has become a worldwide leader in the development of high value, high function foot and ankle products. In 2008, Cramer Products acquired Active Ankle. Together, Cramer and Active Ankle share an unwavering commitment to developing products that heal, protect, and help prevent injury. The company is dedicated to innovative engineering and producing quality functional products that help athletes perform at their highest level. Active Ankle braces are all-sport supports that can be seen on athletes worldwide from the high school to Olympic levels in sports such as volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, and football just to name a few.
